Hystax Acura: download and install replication agents

Download and install Linux replication agent

Do the following steps to download a replication agent for Linux:

1. Click on the ‘Download agents’ button on the main page

2. Choose a customer and click Next

3. Choose the replication agent for Linux and click Next

4. Choose a machine group, that will contain the machine. Select target Linux
distribution, CentOS\RHEL is used on the screenshot below and click Next

5. To get the agent to click the “Download Agent” button or do the first step from the instruction below, follow steps two and three

Download and install Windows replication agent

Do the following steps to download a replication agent for Windows:

1. Click on the ‘Download agents’ button on the main page

2. Choose a customer and click Next

3. Choose the replication agent for Windows and click Next

4. Choose a machine group, that will contain the machine

5. To get the agent, click on the “Download Agent” button

6. Install the agent to the machine

Unzip the downloaded archive
Install the agent to the machine, which you want to protect
Start the agent

Download and install VMware replication agent

Do the following steps to download a VMware replication agent:

1. Click on the ‘Download agents’ button on the main page

2. Choose a customer and click Next

3. Choose the VMware replication agent click Next

4. Select a group, to which protected machines will be automatically added to. You can use both the created VMware vSphere or create a new VMware vSphere.

To create a new VMware vSphere do the following steps:

In the ‘Platform name’ value enter the name, it can be any
In the value ‘Endpoint’ enter the target ESXi IP
In the ‘Login’ value enter the login
In the ‘Password” value enter the password

Click Next

5. To get the agent, click on the “Download Agent” button

6. Deploy it on each ESXi host in your VMware cluster you want to protect

Select Create/Register VM

Select Deploy a virtual machine, click Next

Enter the machine name, it can be any. Select the downloaded OVF file, click Next

Follow the wizard on the ESXi
