What is Hystax Acura migration to STACKIT?
Hystax Acura is a fully automated live cloud migration solution. It replicates running machines from any source platform to STACKIT in the background and launches them there as fully working business applications. Source servers keep running until you decide to switch, so the only downtime is the final cutover.
Acura is integrated with STACKIT through the platform's native API and covers compute, all block storage types and networking. Replicated data lands directly on STACKIT resources, with no intermediate cloud and no manual image conversion, and every step from the first replica to the cutover is orchestrated by Acura.
STACKIT is the sovereign cloud of Schwarz Digits, the IT and digital division of Schwarz Group. It is headquartered in Germany and stores and processes customer data exclusively in its own data centres in Europe.

Your data stays in STACKIT
The complete Hystax Acura stack, including the control panel, replication services and replica storage, can be deployed inside your own STACKIT project. Replicated data flows from your source environment straight into STACKIT storage over the network you provide, including closed network environments.
Nothing is routed through Hystax or any third-party service, so the data-residency and compliance commitments STACKIT publishes apply to your migration as well.

Does Hystax Acura connect to STACKIT through its native API?
Yes. Hystax built a dedicated integration with STACKIT's native API covering compute, all block storage types and networking. Replicated data lands directly on STACKIT resources, with no intermediate platform and no manual image conversion.
Which source platforms can I migrate to STACKIT?
Any platform Hystax Acura supports as a source: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, KVM, Proxmox VE, OpenStack (including Red Hat OpenStack), OpenNebula, oVirt, KubeVirt, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud and physical servers (bare metal). Windows and Linux workloads are covered with broad support for market-typical operating systems.
How much downtime does a migration to STACKIT cause?
None during replication and testing: source machines keep running while Acura replicates them in the background. The only downtime is the final cutover, which typically takes 1 to 3 minutes.
Can I test the migration before switching production?
Yes. You can launch an unlimited number of test migrations in an isolated STACKIT network, run functional and performance tests, adjust flavours, networks and boot order, and only then schedule the final cutover. Production is never affected by a test.
Does my data leave the EU during migration?
It does not have to. The complete Hystax Acura stack can be deployed inside your own STACKIT project. Replicated data flows from your source environment straight into STACKIT storage over the network you control; nothing is routed through Hystax or a third-party service.
Are there STACKIT-specific limitations?
No. STACKIT works with the standard Hystax Acura migration flow: the same console, migration plans and cutover procedure used on every other target platform. If you have an unusual guest operating system or storage layout, contact us and we will confirm it before you start.
Can MSPs and cloud service providers offer migration to STACKIT as a service?
Yes. Hystax Acura is built for partners: a multi-tenant, white-label portal lets you run migration projects for many customers from one console, with role-based access, reports and a full REST API. Hystax also offers partner pricing.
