The feature allows customers to define a data change threshold (as a percentage of total data) at either the customer or group level. If incremental replication surpasses this value during the backup commit stage, Hystax Acura immediately acts to secure backup integrity:- Suspended state for protection: When abnormal data changes are detected, Hystax Acura automatically places the affected machine into a “Suspended” state, pausing all further data replication and backup activities. This action prevents the creation of compromised restore points and protects the integrity of your existing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Storage policy adjustment: While suspended, standard storage retention policies are not applied. This option ensures earlier, clean restore points remain available for recovery.
- Immediate risk notification: Hystax Acura instantly triggers an Acknowledgeable Warning-level event when suspicious replication is detected. The event includes a detailed explanation of the issue and actionable recommendations, such as verifying the integrity of the source system and recovering clean data from earlier backup and recovery points. This option ensures rapid incident response and strengthens your overall backup and DR strategy.
- Manual reinstatement by admin: Once validated, administrators can manually unsuspend the machine and return it to active backup mode, confirming their awareness of potential risks.
