Our cloud migration, disaster recovery, and backup solution, Hystax Acura, has a new name: Hystax Platform. Its three capabilities now carry names that say what they do: Hystax Migration, Hystax Disaster Recovery, and Hystax Backup.
They remain one platform, not three separate products. The software, the team, and the support you rely on stay the same. Only the names change.
Why Hystax Acura was renamed Hystax Platform
Hystax Acura covers three different tasks: moving workloads between clouds, keeping them running when a site fails, and protecting their data with backups. One solution name for all three said little about any of them.
Customers look for a migration, disaster recovery, or backup solution, not for a product name. Partners who build services on our technology had to explain the name before they could explain the service.
So we named the platform after the company and each capability after its job: one brand, one platform, three clearly named capabilities.
One platform for migration, disaster recovery and backup
- Hystax Migration: fully automated live migration of physical and virtual machines to and between any clouds and platforms. Replication runs in the background with minimal downtime, and you can run unlimited test migrations before the cutover.
- Hystax Disaster Recovery: cross-cloud disaster recovery with low RPO and RTO, either as a private DR solution for one company or as a ready-to-run DRaaS offering for service providers.
- Hystax Backup: automated backup to S3-compatible object storage, NFS, or Samba, with flexible retention policies and deduplication.
All three run on the same core: the same replication agents, orchestration engine, and multi-tenant partner portal.
Is Hystax Platform the same product as Hystax Acura?
You may still come across the Acura name in older documentation or materials. It refers to the same products.
